well yes,... the thing is, people that people that used to go to football cant afford it anymore. In England for Example football is turning even more and more into a High society event.

I think they´re trying to get rid of the traditional image of football being a working class sport.

How can a average worker who used to dedicate himself to a team with passion, all of a sudden afford to pay double or even tripple the price?

football yes-business no

well, it is always all about the money. money rules the world.
that's the reason for overpriced tickets, unusual beginning times (because of television), and so on...
and it goes on... as long as people pay for it...

whats your point of view when it comes to modern (commercial) football??

some aspects are: Overpriced tickets, teams selling their players like stock, games at unusual times, stadiums where all crowd is seeted (as in England) etc...........

After the 4:2 loss in st. hanappi there where still hopes;) Oh well

If you think that Salzburg has an overall budget of over 45 mill. compared to Rapid for instance which doesn´t even have half, it seemed like quite a struggle.

RB Salzburg a team with no tradition or history which at the end of the day results to no following and passion. If you go to see a game in salzburg, the whole stadium seems like a big family outing. Plus the fullest the place gets is when they play traditionall teams and thats when the Salzburg crowd get to see what football is really about!

Whatever, I will never forget the time of glory.... 7:0

eh, dude in englands top 4 pro leagues fans are not allowed to drink alcohol in the stads. So the League trys to get rid of radicals and fanatics. That is why most of these people get drunk in pubs and then riot on the streets. Therefor many pubs got securiety or police by their doors (conflict managment?). further the alcohol consum in the afternoon has risen about 20 % on match days.
In most other european countries fans are allowed to drink in the stads (recently an Atletico Madrid fan dropped dead because partying to hard.)
