Die Veranstaltungsreihe “Webtalks” wird mit Hilfe einer Konferenzsoftware alle Teilnehmenden durch Video, Audio, Chat und weitere interaktive Elemente über das Internet miteinander verbinden. Als Konferenzsoftware kommt Adobe Connect zum Einsatz. Voraussetzung ist lediglich ein Browser (Firefox, Explorer), stabiles Breitbandinternet sowie die neueste Version von Adobe Flash (kostenloser Download), das in der Regel bereits installiert ist. Das System funktioniert unter Windows, Mac und Linux (unter Linux mit Einschränkungen). Der Computer sollte nicht älter als fünf Jahre sein. Für die Sprachverständigung wird ein Headset (Kopfhörer-Mikrofon-Kombination) unbedingt benötigt. Die Verwendung einer Webcam wird empfohlen, ist aber keine Voraussetzung. The Web 2.0 ERC European Union funded project is designed to help educators who find ICT confusing to have a simple and secure environment to use ICT in their work and in their classes.
The project will build a simple web site that will include the most popular tools (Wikis, Blogs, communications, Social Networking etc.) with clear guides on:

• How to use the tools
• How they can be used in education

The project will also look at other Web 2.0 tools that can be used to create content, share the content and communicate.

All the work of the project will be piloted with the target groups of the project and the resources produced will be adapted based on the piloting.
